Why did you come to work for Sunriver Realty?
To me, working for Sunriver Realty means working in my community, the same community that I live and play in. Being a real estate broker provides the flexibility I want in raising my daughters and participating in their activities; and at the same time, providing an opportunity for me to maintain my licensure and enjoy this profession. My husband, Bryce C. Jones, PC, has been a broker for Sunriver Realty since 2001 and we believe combining our skill sets and teaming up provides an even higher level of customer satisfaction.

What do you love about your job?
I am very much a ‘people-person,’ and to me relationships are the most important aspect of anything I am doing, whether it is working or playing. To most buyers and sellers, these are not simply transactions; these are their homes and often ‘sales’ are part of a larger change in their lives. I love being a ‘change agent’ and in assisting in completing transactions in such a way that all parties feel a ‘win-win.’

What are some of your areas of industry expertise or preference?
My area of expertise is in “the details” and in the use of technology. With today’s internet, clients are often well educated when they begin looking at the physical homes. They’ve spent weeks or even months doing research before coming onsite. The downside of today’s internet, however, is information overload. My intentions are to provide avenues for clients to receive as much information as they want and need, while clearing out the ‘debris.’

How do you enjoy Central Oregon?
I enjoy Central Oregon by living and playing here. We’ve lived in the Sunriver area since 1999 and we’ve raised our daughters here. I am also a member of the Bend Oregon Outriggers paddling club and I am a licensed pilot. I enjoy skiing in the winter.

What's a valuable lesson you learned (in real estate)?
It is often relatively ‘easy’ to find the ‘perfect’ home; however, getting a home or property through escrow to close often provides multiple challenges and opportunities. My primary responsibility is to navigate and negotiate through those challenges and opportunities using my experience in change management, relationship and technology skills, and thorough knowledge of the real estate market.
